(NBC)
enjoys the privilege of being the first Automotive Battery Manufacturer
in Saudi Arabia. The
ultra-modern manufacturing
facility, built by the
giants in the world of
batteries, Varta Batterie
AG, Germany, was
commissioned in the year
1997. |

Established with a paid-up capital of SR. 34 Million ($ 9
Million) and an investment
outlay of SR. 120 Million ($
33.30 Million), NBC
is a part of the renowned
Industrial Group, The
National Industrialization
Company (NIC) which has
an 80 % stake in the
company. The remaining
shareholding is shared
between reputed businessmen
of the country.
The company commenced commercial operations in July 1997
and has since been marketing
its products mainly in the
Domestic and the
GCC Markets. Within a
short span, the company has
been successful in
establishing its brand name
and image in the domestic
market. Today, it is
perceived as a premium
quality battery manufacturer
in the region.
NBC
is continuously expanding
its commercial operations,
and has recently forayed
into wider international
export markets in the
Middle Eastern, European,
Asian and African Countries.

The Plant &
Machinery installations, designed by
Varta Batterie-AG, Germany, are from
world renowned names like: TBS,
Bielomatik, Tekmax, Wirtz, MAC, Eirich,
Sovema, Kustan, Varta WIT etc. This
enables the facility not only to produce
standard quality products, but also
endows it with the capability to
undertake customized production required
for specific applications
The plant
is capable of producing over 800,000
units of Automotive Batteries. Plans
are underway to enhance the production
capacity to over 1.40 Million Units
soon. NBC also envisages
production of Hybrid, Filled Maintenance
Free, Stationary & VRLA Batteries in the
near future.
Branding & Labeling
The company
currently produces the premium quality,
“NBC Brand” and the standard
quality “SUPER”, “SPARK”
"HORIZON", "JS", "Power-X" and VOLTECH
brands to cater to different
categories of consumers. All of the
brands produced by the company are
registered with relevant commercial
authorities for imitation protection.
The company policy on branding and labeling is flexible
enough to accommodate orders for private
brands/labels for major clients and
OEMs. However, the company maintains
its premium quality "NBC" Brand
as its flagship for
handling/representation by, exclusively
quality conscious clients.

Total Quality Management (TQM)
The company products are at par with the best in the world,
on Varta’s Advanced German Technology.
The range, presently, includes Dry
Charged automotive batteries conforming
to JIS, DIN & SAE Standards. Each
battery is manufactured under a strictly
controlled TQM program with
advanced quality control and testing
methodologies. All of the company’s
laboratory & testing equipments are
sourced from DIGATRON, Germany.
Further, the production process is installed with in-built "mistake-proof"
devices within the plant & machinery
that enable the company to produce high
quality products taking care of human
errors.
NBC's commitment to quality has been acknowledged with the award of the
ISO-9002 Certification in the year
2001. Plans are underway to acquire the
QS 9000 Certification soon.
NBC’s Logistics Strengths
NBC’s
production process is adequately
complemented by procurement of high
quality Raw Materials like Lead and
Lead Alloys & PP Containers from its
own affiliate companies; Rasass &
Rowad respectively. All cartons for
packaging are procured from another
NBC affiliate company; Wantan
Pac. This advantage of assured &
timely material supplies are reflected
in our consistent high service
standards and prompt deliveries. |
